Children's Theatre holds open auditions for student actors at various times during the year, depending on the needs of each production.

Junior Arts Academy

Junior Arts Academy will be held June 4 – 15, 2012. This annual summer program provides both visual and theatrical arts instruction to 6-9 year olds. Junior Arts Academy ends with Play & Display, where budding artists show off the work they have created and, as young thespians, they perform original short plays based on the theme of the Academy. This year’s theme is Fractured Fairy Tales. Junior Arts Academy students will alter different components of traditional fairy tales, giving them a modern spin. Registration for Junior Arts Academy begins Monday, February 6.

Summer Theatre Academy

Summer Theatre Academy will be held June 18 – July 27, 2012. Summer Theatre Academy is a six-week audition-only theater training program for students ages 10 to 18. Students learn theater performing techniques under the direction of skilled theater professionals from across the United States. Auditions will be held: March 10, 2012, at 4:30 p.m.; April 14, 2012, at 4:30 p.m.; and May 5, 2012, at 5 p.m. For more information, call 501-372-4000.
