Reservation Policies and Theatre Procedures

To make a School Group Matinee reservation, please read the following policies and submit your reservation form.

School Matinee Reservation Policies

Reservation Form: Submission of the group reservation order from is not a guarantee of your order. A confirmation letter and contract will be sent to you within 5 business days. Should the date and time you selected be unavailable, an Audience Services Representative will contact you.

Dropped Reservations: You may change the number of your school group reservation, up to 10 working days prior to the scheduled performance. No reservations may be dropped after this time. If this date falls on or near a holiday for your school, you are still responsible for confirming the final reservation number by this date. Additional reservations are subject to availability.

Reservation Cancellations: Reservation cancellations must be made within 15 working days prior to the scheduled performance date. If this date falls on or near a holiday for your school, you are still responsible for canceling within 15 working days. If you do not cancel the reservation within the set time, you school will be billed for the reservation amount in full.

Special needs: Arrangements for students with special needs should be discussed when you book your field trip

If we sell out for a show, you may request to be placed on a waiting list in case of cancellations.

Payments

Children's Theatre admission cost is $6.50 per student. For every 15 students, one teacher or chaperone may attend at no charge.

Additional adults: We understand that some parents wish to attend Children's Theatre with their children on field trips. We are unable to extend the student discount to them. Additional adult tickets may be purchased at the group rate of $10. When you make the school group reservation, please submit the additional adult count with your reservation. Additional adult tickets can not be sold the day of the scheduled performance.

Payment: No payment is due with the reservation order from. Payment or Purchase Order is due the day of the performance. Please bring your confirmation letter with you to the Theatre.

Refunds: No refunds can be given for absent students as we are unable to resell the seats.

Theatre Polices

Babies and toddlers: Out of consideration to other audience members and because additional chaperones must be attending to the needs and behavior of school children, Children's Theatre asks that you do not bring babies or toddlers under the age of two to School Matinee performances. Parents who bring babies will be asked to wait in the lobby

Food: No food, drink, candy or gum is allowed in the Theatre. Please make sure your students cooperate.

Cell Phones and beepers: All cell phones and beepers should be turned off before entering the theatre

Photography: Taking photographs, videotapes and audiotapes of the performance is prohibited.

Bathrooms: Bathrooms are located in the theatre lobby. Students must be accompanied by an adult.
