Decorative Arts Collections
The Arkansas Arts Center has small western and non-western collections of traditional decorative arts. The western material consists of 19th and early 20th century ceramics and glass. The most significant is the Carroll H. Lutterloh collection of British stem ware and art glass including works from the Steuben, Tiffany and Loetz factories. The non-western material has its strength in ceramics. Most important is a group of Chinese Black Hawthorn (famille noire) vases from the late 18th to early 19th century on loan from the Winthrop Rockefeller Charitable Trust. The Arkansas Arts Center holds the Bob H. Batty Collection of Pressed Glass. On extended loan from the City of Little Rock, it consists of 2,600 pieces dating from the 1830s to the 1930s.
