Lesson Objective: students will learn to respond creatively in writing to viewing an artwork.
Each of these artists has a piece in this exhibition which seems to imply a story. Have students choose one of the works. Let them write freely in response to these works. The writing may be a story, the thoughts of someone in the work, the thoughts of someone unseen who is observing the person in the work, or poetry. Have students read their writing for the class. Compare the different responses each person had to the same works and discuss how art connects to each person through their personal thoughts and experiences.
