Reynolds Center for Drawing Research and Education
To complement its nationally-recognized emphasis on drawings, the Arkansas Arts Center provides a space dedicated to the study of unique works on paper. The Arts Center houses over 5,000 drawings. The collection includes Renaissance through 19th century American and European works. However, the bulk of the collection - over 2,000 drawings- are 20th and 21st century works by modern masters.

The Reynolds Center for Drawing Research and Education provides a space for scholars and students to study individual works under staff supervision. The Center also facilitates the study of areas of strength within the collection, including Photo-Realist, African American, Regionalist and post-Minimalist drawings.
Because of the fragility of works on paper, drawings from the permanent collection are on view for limited periods. The Reynolds Center offers visitors a venue for seeing works not currently on view in the galleries.
