New promised works of art from Jack T. Stephens on display at Arkansas Arts Center

(LITTLE ROCK, AR) -- Six new promised gifts from Jackson T. Stephens, a Little Rock philanthropist, are on view in "Masterworks, " an ongoing exhibition in the Stephens Gallery of the Arkansas Arts Center, 10th and Commerce Streets, MacArthur Park. Included in this exhibition are paintings by Paul Cézanne, Kees van Dongen and Andrew Newell Wyeth.

In 1999, Stephens presented the Arts Center with a promised gift of several European paintings by Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, Berthe Morisot, Pablo Picasso and Camille Pissarro. These works are included in "Masterworks."

Viewing hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday; and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. the first Friday of the month. Admission is free.
