46th Annual Delta Exhibition awards announced
(LITTLE ROCK, AR) - The Arkansas Arts Center is proud to announce the award winners selected in the "46th Annual Delta Exhibition."

Top honors, the Grand Award and two Delta Awards, were given to three artists in the exhibition. Tom Richard, from Monticello, Ark., is the recipient of the Grand Award for his painting Chapter Eight: Friedrich Nietzsche & Michael Jackson. Terry R. Bean, from Little Rock, and Katherine Liontas-Warren, from Lawton, Oklahoma, both received Delta Awards. Bean's drawing is titled Self Portrait 2003 - 1A. Liontas-Warren's drawing is titled My Children Dream Too.

Honorable Mention went to Eric Kyle Berkemeyer, from Vilonia, Ark.; Donna Brabston Hopper from Memphis, Tenn.; Laura Laser from Little Rock, Ark.; Leisa Rich from Coppell, Texas; and Nancy White from Memphis, Tenn.

Other artists chosen for this exhibition include: Gary Cawood, Brad Cushman, Catherine Siri Nugent, Robert Reep, Michael Warrick, Lauren Wilcox and Katherine A. Wilson from Little Rock, Ark.; Steven Allen from Arkadelphia, Ark.; Jessica Harden from Conway, Ark.; Tad Gloeckler and Jacqueline Golden from Fayetteville, Ark.; Tyrone Lewis from Hatfield, Ark.; Tom Chaffee, Les Christensen, Jean Flint, Bill Rowe and John Salvest from Jonesboro, Ark.; Alice Andrews from Ponca, Ark.; Steven Wise from Rogers, Ark.; Jason Myers from St. Joseph, Mo.; Mira Gerard from Johnson City, Tenn.; Christine Conley, Carol A. DeForest, David Green, Leigh O'Rourke, Niles Wallace and Tad Lauritzen Wright from Memphis, Tenn.; Dwayne Butcher from Millington, Tenn.; Steven Barker from Mt. Pleasant, Texas; and Derrick White from Tyler, Texas.

Thirty-nine works were chosen from approximately 480 entries of contemporary art. This regional competition is open to Arkansans and artists in the contiguous states: Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas. The Delta presents the opportunity to see a selection of the best contemporary work in all media within our geographic region.

The "46th Annual Delta Exhibition" opens on June 13 runs through August 3, 2003 in the Jeannette Edris Rockefeller Gallery of the Arkansas Arts Center.
