Families invited to spend day with Knight at Arkansas Arts Center
Little Rock -
The Arkansas Arts Center presents Art Adventures - A Knight's Tale on Saturday, March 20, 2004 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Jeannette Edris Rockefeller Gallery of the Arts Center.
Art Adventures is a free activity for families and is being held in conjunction with the exhibition Age of Armor from the Higgins Armory Museum. Children will meet a Knight of old as he tells of knighthood throughout the ages. The Knight will lead exhibition tours specially designed for children and provide families with an interactive gallery guide to supply children with educational information. Tours will be conducted at 11 a.m., 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.
In addition, hands-on workshops for parents and children are being offered. A professional artist will help families design and decorate their own Family Crest. The fee for the workshop is $4 per child. Parents are free. Workshops are held at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Registration is required for the workshop only. Call 501-396-0367 to sign up.
