Young Arkansas Artists 43rd Annual Exhibition on display from March 12 - May 2
(LITTLE ROCK, AR) -
One hundred eighty-two works of art from students in kindergarten through 12th grade will be on display at the Arkansas Arts Center from March 12 through May 2, 2004 in the Young Arkansas Artists 43rd Annual Exhibition.
With approximately 620 entries from hundreds of schools across the state, this exhibition features some of the best artwork by Arkansas students. Works include drawings, paintings, collages, sculptures and crafts. Produced in cooperation with the State Department of Education, Young Arkansas Artists is juried by Arkansas art teachers who are members of the National Art Education Association.
From this exhibition, the curatorial staff of the Arkansas Arts Center will select 72 works to be exhibited in four traveling exhibitions. The works are shown in numerous venues around the state during the 2004-2005 school year.
Young Arkansas Artists brings together over 1,500 children, families, educators and sponsors to celebrate art produced by young artists from every corner of the state.
