(LITTLE ROCK, AR) - The Arkansas Arts Center announces summer programs for students, including Junior Arts Academy for ages six to nine and Summer Theatre Academy for ages 10 to 18.

Due to popular demand, Junior Arts Academy will now hold two, two-week sessions from June 6 through June 17, 2005 and June 20 through July 1, 2005 and a four-week session from June 6 through July 1, 2005. This program, now in its 10th year, is led by experienced art teachers and theater professionals and presents both visual and theatrical arts to children in exciting ways that entertain and challenge. Cost is $425 for a two-week session and $800 for the four-week Junior Arts Academy. Arkansas Arts Center Members receive a discount. Registration begins February 1, 2005.

Summer Theatre Academy, held from June 20 through July 29, 2005, is a six-week program offered to advanced and beginning theater students. Workshop I runs from June 20 through July 8, 2005 and Workshop II runs from July 11 through July 29, 2005. Cost for a three-week workshop is $450 and $750 for the six-week Summer Theatre Academy.
