Arkansas Arts Center Showcases "Masters of American Watercolor, Part 1"
(LITTLE ROCK, AR) -
The Arkansas Arts Center will exhibit several works from their collection in an exhibition titled “Masters of American Watercolor, Part 1”, which runs from March 11 through April 10, 2005.
The first in an occasional series, this exhibition of American watercolors will focus on works created before 1950. The artists in this first installment include Thomas Moran, Maurice Prendergast and Charles Burchfield. The works, ranging from tour-de-force landscapes to abstraction, use media such as watercolor, gouache and tempera on paper and reveal the particular aims of painters who work in these challenging media.
Admission is free. For additional information call 501-372-4000 or visit www.arkarts.com.
