Entries Being Accepted for 33rd Annual Toys Designed by Artists Exhibition

This international competition of functional toys, non-functional toys and objects inspired by toys is open to all artists. All works must be original, completed within the last two years and must not have been previously exhibited at the Arkansas Arts Center. Each artist is limited to two entries. Works should be submitted as digital images or on 35mm slides and will be selected by juror Kenneth R. Trapp, former curator of the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum.

Purchase Awards totaling $2500 are given each year at the juror’s discretion. Works receiving Purchase Awards are incorporated into the Arkansas Arts Center Foundation Collection, which currently holds approximately 300 toys designed by artists.

The exhibition opens on Friday, November 11, 2005 and runs through Sunday, December 31, 2005. For more information or to download an entry form, visit www.arkarts.com.
