Seventeen Original Prints by Anne-Lise Calmes
The movement of a skein of color, the transformation of tints, the conjuring of shades under light… these are a few of the favorite subjects of Swiss photographer Anne-Lise Calmes. Trained by Gertrude Fehr at the École des Arts et Métiers (Arts and Crafts Institute) in Vevey, Switzerland, Calmes' color compositions lend a painterly quality to her photographs. These seventeen untitled works allow the viewer a space for contemplation and appreciation of pure abstraction.
