Design and create a three-dimensional water sculpture using "found objects," tidbits with an interesting shape, patina, or sense of mystery. Bring small found objects to add to a copper sheet that's approximately 12"x12". Some objects will be available in the studio. No experience necessary. Bring a materials fee of $60.

Discover how to turn raw stones into polished cabochons in this weekend workshop. Learn safe operation of the rock saw and how to use the multi-station polisher. Purchase slabbed rough (pre-sliced slabs of stone) in the studio at a cost of approximately $5 each. No experience required.

This class introduces students to basic silversmithing skills, including torch soldering, surface embellishment, and bezel setting. No experience required. The materials fee (due at the first class) will provide consumables and a piece of silver for between $30-50 depending on the current silver market.

Add a touch of pure gold to your silver creations without great expense. The ancient Korean art of keum boo is easy and the equipment is not expensive. Materials kit available in studio at market price, typically around $40. We will complete a pair of earrings in this workshop.

Create a one-of-a-kind copper or sterling silver bangle bracelet in a single class. Using wire, hammers, and metal stamps, students will customize the look and fit of their creation. Wire and solder may be purchased from the instructor. Open to all skill levels, but some metals experience a plus.

This workshop introduces a simple, low-toxicity process of etching brass and copper sheet metal. Using permanent marker and your own design, we will create an etched metal sheet that can be used for your jewelry components or other projects. Students may purchase metal from instructor. All skill levels welcome!
