Learn the ancient craft of fusing glass using modern methods and produce gorgeous glass vessels, art objects, or jewelry. No previous experience is required. Cutting and assembly techniques along with safe practices and tool use are taught in a studio environment. The studio has tools for student use during class. All kiln work is included in the cost of the class. Students must purchase or supply their own glass; note that all glass must have a coefficient of expansion of 90 (COE 90). The studio has a wide variety of COE 90 glass colors available for student purchase with an average cost of $13 per square foot. A starter set of 2.25 square feet of glass costs $22. A list of other recommended supplies will be emailed to students one week before class starts. Safety glasses are first on the list.
