Lumos! Witness the magical transformation of the AAC studios - turned into a Hogwarts wonderland! Join us for a fun-filled day of all things Harry Potter. Students will be sorted into houses, make their own wands and golden snitch ornaments, go on a Horcrux Hunt through the AAC galleries, play a rousing game of Quidditch, and more! Costumes encouraged! Donate a pair of new socks for Dobby's Clothes Drive, with all donations benefitting a local charity. Parents, this is a safe, creative environment for you to drop-off your child or children, while you get some last-minute holiday shopping done! Bring a boxed lunch and drink. No refrigeration available. Snacks provided. If your child has severe food allergies, please notify the Museum School Office in advance at 501.396.0353.

This course offers a variety of confidence-building techniques and is designed so that children and their grown-ups work together to discover the joy of art-making.

Learn color theory through vibrant mixed-media projects. Techniques will include collage, image transfers, paint-mixing, and found object assemblage. We will investigate hues, shades, tints, tones, and values through painting, sculpture, and fiber experiments!

Discover how artists use composition, proportion, line quality, and color to tell an exciting story in a work of art. Practice traditional methods, such as, single-point perspective as well as contemporary methods, such as, minimal composition to depict an inner world of imagination.

Exercise your imagination by creating original works with clay! Basic handbuilding methods will be taught. There will also be an introduction to throwing clay on the pottery wheel. Learn how to glaze your own pieces in class.

Designed for students who are brand new to pottery or those who are more advanced and want to continue skill building - with help available from the instructor. Opportunities for handbuilding and wheelthrowing provided. Learn about glazes and glaze your own pieces.
